what was the sentence half way down page 72 of that Derrida book?

why not start 2009 with Being an Event I just got beyond Badio's 2 page preface and have been on page 1 & 2 of his introduction for 12 days (now)..

Oh and many more. If I retained anything, I'd be "smart." And a good education was I fear wasted on me.

If I could find the Derrida book I'd quote it.

Still working thru the translator's introduction to Badiou's Metapolitics, resisting the temptation to mark every other sentence as "is this a bad joke?"
